During the spring of 2026, following the culmination of a historic 2026 College Football Playoff, a special-edition visual identity was built. In addition to following the 12th CFP, the brand was preparing the launch of a refreshed brand identity. To mark the final days of the iconic logo and brand, along with celebrating the first twelve CFP National Champions, a final - ultimate - identity was built.

To continue to push the celebratory themes of the CFP‘s ultimate identity, these pieces were crafted to celebrate a few of the notable CFP alumni in the NFL Draft. These also served as build-up material to ramp up the excitement for one of the NFL’s grandest events.

CFP Ultimate Championship | Seedings
To begin the CFP Ultimate Championship tournament, a fan-driven social media tournament pitting all twelve of the CFP National Champions against each other, this set of graphics announced the seedings of each individual championship team. Seedings were chosen by point differential in the CFP National Championship.

To supplement matchup content, these pieces helped turn back the clock, reminding fans of each team's dominance and its corresponding players. Areas of focus were statistics, player matchups, and superstars.

CFP Ultimate Championship | Interactive pieces
Throughout the month of March, these pieces were repeatedly put out for fans to interact with. The fans were given the ability to decide the “Ultimate Champion”, the best of the best. Each matchup graphic contained an interactive poll, where fans could vote on who would win the hypothetical matchup.
