2024 Theme: The 2024 season art direction was centered around the 100th anniversary of the dedication of James Gamble Nippert Memorial Stadium. This season-long social media campaign utilized Nippert-specific elements, elegant typography, dynamic black, white, and red player treatment, and purposeful color & shape; intending on supporting the celebration of a history that has been written in the venue over the course of the past century.
The Goal
The Tales of Nippert Stadium
Coinciding with the celebration of James Gamble Nippert Memorial Stadium - the ninth-oldest venue in college football - a series of commemorative pieces were developed to showcase the stories, stars, and moments rooted in the historic stadium. Throughout the 2024 season each week featured a specific game to relive moments and build nostalgia.

Alongside the Tales of Nippert Stadium, separate player/moment-specific pieces were created to further support the overarching goal of telling the historic venue’s story.

NFL Draft Legacy
With themes of history and nostalgia in mind, the final eight days leading up to the draft were used to showcase a handful of UC’s greatest NFL Draft picks in a commemorative, celebratory fashion. The direction behind the set reflected the historic feel of the Jimmy Nippert Memorial, along with pulling brand-specific elements to create a distinct and repeatable identity that spanned across various eras of Cincinnati Football.

2021 College Football Playoff | The 2021 College Football Playoff team produced twelve NFL Draft picks over a span of two years - including the record-setting nine draftee 2022 draft. Visual identity was adjusted to showcase the gold & black College Football Playoff branding.
2009 Sugar Bowl Draftees | Nine NFL Draft picks were produced by the 2009 Sugar Bowl team - a team achieved a perfect, twelve-win regular season for the first time in school history.
2008 Orange Bowl Draftees | The 2008 Orange Bowl team set the former program record with six NFL Draft picks.
Historic Draftees | Throughout the program’s history, many legends have made their mark in the NFL Draft.

ESPN All-Playoff Team
In March, ESPN listed alumni Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner and Ivan Pace Jr as members of the “All-Playoff Era” team, celebrating the top talents of the four-team College Football Playoff era (spanning from 2014-2023).

The Goal
Social Media
With a strong focus on NFL content, the challenge at hand was to showcase our flourishing former players in the most Cincinnati way possible. Creative & strategic usage of brand marks, a black/white/red-dominant color scheme, an intentional emphasis on Cincinnati photos, and a gritty, rough method of texturing to match the city of Cincinnati spearheaded the approach for the 2023 season.

Recruit-Specific
In order to entise prospective recruits to commit to the University of Cincinnati, graphics were needed on a weekly basis. By pairing player personalization with Cincinnati’s natural identity through a creative approach, this set came to fruition.
Miscellaneous | Utilized for various purposes: prints, recruiting send-outs, content for coaches.
